Protecting that mojo once you’ve found it.
For me, that meant learning to say no and setting boundaries on my time.
I started with one day a week dedicated to 6:AM. Now it’s two 🙌. But to get there, I had to clear the decks—finishing projects, closing loops, and ticking things off for good.
The hardest part? Saying no wasn’t just about work. It meant sometimes saying no to my husband’s and friend's calls for help. And for a genuine “yes girl” like me—that was really hard.
But if I hadn’t drawn those boundaries, I’d still be stuck in burnout—too stretched to give 6:AM or my clients the energy they deserve, and not able to be the best mum or wife either.
That’s why I embraced something female founders and horse business owners are notoriously bad at: strategic rest.
We tell ourselves: “I can’t step away—the wheels will fall off.” But if you never step away, they’ll fall off anyway. You’ll make poorer calls, lose patience, stop being innovative… and eventually, you’ll break.
💡 Strategic rest isn’t indulgent, it’s essential.
It sharpens decisions, boosts creativity, clears your thinking, strengthens resilience, and helps your business grow more profitably and efficiently—because its leader is at their best.
And it doesn’t have to look the same:
🌿 Five days at a health retreat
🚪 One day with the door shut, no distractions
☕ A few hours solo at a café
🌊 Even a full month off if you need it
Because here’s the thing: if you break, you’re no good to anyone—and then everything really will fall over.
Learning to say no, set boundaries, and take intentional breaks was Part Two of getting my mojo back. And it’s why I can now show up sharper, energised, and ready to build brighter futures—6:AM style. ✨
